Great...another Federal Election.
This election, whenever it's called, will have the worst turnout. Book it.
Canadians are apathetic about federal politics. We don't care, even if the government breaks the rules of Parliament. We don't care because we've come to expect this type of behaviour from our politicians.
What a sad state of affairs.
We have a great political system. But it sure ain't perfect.

Re. Canadian Politics and Lingerie
Did I hear right?
Mike Ignatieff likes lacy lingerie?
The Leader of the Opposition is kinky.
The explanation.

Re. Sunday
Have to be honest: I've never liked Sunday.
Don't know why I've never liked the day of rest. Maybe it was because it was the day before the start of another school week. It was a day when you scrambled to get all your school work done.
The Carleton campus was always a ghost town on Sunday. Sure, there were people doing research at the prison/library, but it always seemed to me that the usual campus life was deflated.
Sundays in downtown Toronto are still lively of course. People are shopping, the streets are just as packed as they are during the week and there's usually a sporting event occurring. However, there's still this feel to Sunday that doesn't exist on any other day of the week.
Perhaps Sunday is not a day of rest, but more of a day to reset yourself. It's a moment you take to reflect on the last seven days, while also preparing for the upcoming week. You might go out and shop or attend a party. However, you tend to be less intense and active. You tone it down. You're more relaxed.
I could be totally wrong about this. It's just a feeling I get every time Sunday rolls around.

What The Deuce?
Happy Monday.
Not much to say. As I type this, Italy is leading Canada 4-2; very frustrating, but not surprising.
Meanwhile, here's my CD review of Deuce by Ottawa's APlotAgainstMe.

Final Thoughts: Stanley Cup Playoffs
There's nothing wrong with the Anaheim Ducks winning the Stanley Cup.
Some will say it's a catastrophe. I disagree.
This is hockey in 2007. People want the NHL to grow; here's a consequence of this growth: a team from California - where it never snows - has won the Stanley Cup. I don't see anything wrong at all.
I'm glad for the Ducks. Sure, I picked the Sens to win, but Anaheim wanted to win and Ottawa played like they were just happy to be in the finals. I'm especially happy for two players: Teemu Selanne and JS Giguere.
Selanne is one of the top players of the last 15 years. He has won many awards except for one, the Stanley Cup. Now, he can look back at his career and be pleased with his efforts.
Giguere was in net when the Ducks lost the Cup final to New Jersey in 2003. Despite losing, he was named playoff MVP. It's nice to win the Conn Smythe trophy. However, this prestigious award means nothing if your team doesn't win the Stanley Cup. For Gigurre, winning the Cup is redemption.
Now that the NHL Playoffs are over, here's a recap of my predictions:
Round 1 - Five out of eight.
Round 2 - Four out of four.
Round 3 - One out of two.
Round 4 - Zero out of one.
Total score - 10 out of 15, 67%

NHL Playoff Predictions - Stanley Cup Finals
Round 1: Five out of eight.
Round 2: Four out of four.
Round 3: One out of two.
I was wrong about Ottawa. I'm sorry.
Stanley Cup Finals
Ottawa over Anaheim in 6
This has nothing to do with the fact that one of teams happens to be from Canada. This has nothing to do with the fact that I lived in Ottawa for the majority of four years. The Senators are on a huge roll and I feel it is strong enough to win the big prize. However, the Sens must win the first game. If they take game one, they will control the series. If the Ducks win the first game, winning the Cup will be very difficult for Ottawa.

Sens Lead 3-0?!
Damn...
The Ottawa Senators are for real.
They're making me look bad.
I picked Buffalo in seven.
Damn.
