Dewayne Wise

Here's my latest article from TheGoodPoint.com: A feature on former Blue Jay outfielder Dewayne Wise.

Wise was signed by the Yankees this past off-season and looks forward to hopefully wearing pinstripes.

Re. The 1981 Montreal Expos

(My latest from TheGoodPoint.com)

2011 marked the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Expos' first and only playoff appearance. It was also the first time the MLB post-season took place on Canadian soil.

Sadly, this important milestone was almost entirely ignored by the mainstream media.

Take a trip down memory lane.

Enjoy!

The Designated Hitter

Will the NL ever adopt the DH? Will the AL have their pitchers hit? Will there ever be consistency between the NL and AL?

I pose the question and come up with some answers.

Enjoy!

Re. Interleague Play

Does interleague play still have the same allure? It has existed for 14 years and doesn't appear to be going anywhere. In fact - as you'll find out in this new article - interleague play is the guest that won't leave.

Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy might not tear up the league, but the Blue Jays infielder is very valuable.

Allow me to explain.

Enjoy!

Canada's Next Prime Minister

Stephen Harper will be in charge for at least the next four years. Still, one must wonder who our nation's next leader will be.

I may have the answer.

Here is Canada's next Prime Minister.

Re. Gregg Zaun

Gregg Zaun won't make it to baseball's Hall-of-Fame, but he's having an amazing career.

He's played for many teams, including the Blue Jays.

Zaun is the ultimate journeyman.

Re. Tim Duncan

The NBA is full of ego and arrogance.

Having said that......thank goodness for Tim Duncan!

Tim Duncan is the Silent Superstar.

Athletes of the Year

Myself and several writers from TheGoodPoint.com packed ourselves into a small room - with no heat or electricity - and came up with...

The Good Point's 2010 Athletes of the Year!

Our selections are a collective winner. It's true.

Re. The Grey Cup

I told my Editor at TheGoodPoint.com that I wanted to write an article about the Grey Cup. He gave me his blessings and commended me on my bravery.

Bravery-shmavery!

The Grey Cup is a cultural event. It's a match that features pure football without the over-hyped glitz and glamour of the Super Bowl.

So far my Grey Cup article, I try to convince American football fans and apathetic Canadians to watch the game. I think they'll like what they see.

And for the record, I'm picking Montreal.

Re. the Los Angeles Clippers

So the good people at TheGoodPoint.com allowed me to write an article about the LA Clippers. In it, I question how the Clippers survive in a city that seems to care more about the LA Lakers than anything else.

Enjoy!
