The Last Days of Summer

Normally at this time, I would be getting ready to move back to Ottawa. Of course, that is no longer the case. It has not hit me just yet but, I have the feeling it will very shortly. Meanwhile, there is something that has been bugging me for a while.

Ever since I graduated from Carleton, many people have inundated me with the same question:

"Now that you're finished University, what are you going to do now?"

Every time I'm asked this, I feel this immense pressure to come up with this clear, concise answer or else people are going to think I won't be able to handle the "real world."

The truth is that I really don't know what will happen now. Obviously, I'm looking for a job in the media. However, I don't know when, where or how this is all going to happen. Anything is possible and anything can happen.

Now that I've given the answer in a public forum, I hope that the questioning will stop. Believe me when I tell you that it is important to have patience. Also, when something does occur, I'll let you all know about it.

Well Sweatheart,

Right now, I have a perfect record at a Chess Camp.

I know how you feel.

Sucks that we can't do much other than say "looking for work" and see what's willing to take us.
